Val's Boutique
The Story Behind the Store: Valerie Guess has always had a mind of her own, and her parents encouraged her to work hard to play hard. She knew she wanted to start a company focused on fashion, creativity, travel, and meeting new people. So in 2005, Valerie moved to Nashville – a decision that pushed her to learn a lot about herself and go after her dreams. Her dream became a reality two years later when she opened Val’s Closet – a clothing retail business based out of her home. With ambition and determination, she hit the road and starting selling young women’s apparel at sorority events, country clubs, and charities throughout the south. With an eye for the latest fashion and a focus on fabulous customer service, Valerie soon found a loyal following. In 2011, Valerie decided it was time to give the store a permanent home. She legally changed the name to Val’s Boutique and opened a storefront location in Knoxville, Tennessee.
